Pop Conversations is a series of online conversations with leading figures who are shaping UK conservative thinking.
On Tuesday 14th January at 7pm, PopCon Director, Mark Littlewood, was joined by the Right Hon Lord (David) Frost CMG, former diplomat and Minister of State at the Cabinet Office, with oversight of the implementation of the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement.
In the run up to the general election, Lord Frost was a prolific proponent of the Tories demonstrating true Conservative values, not only in trade but all policy areas. His experience at the Cabinet Table with Boris Johnson and as a senior civil servant, has given him a profound insight into the workings of Conservatives in Government as well as the mechanics of the public sector and international trade deals. He has won plaudits from across the conservative and Brexit supporting spectrum for his sage and outspoken views.
Mark asked David for his thoughts on the Labour government's perfomance so far; the current state of the right in UK politics and what the Conservative Party needs to do to regain the trust of voters. All interspersed with some excellent questions from the audience.
